Biography

Prof. Dr. Muhittin Hakan Demir received his bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Bilkent University in 1992 and his master's degree in 1994. After completing his PhD in Industrial Engineering at the same school in 2001, Demir worked as an investment officer at Vestel Beyaz Eşya A.Ş., as a Team Leader at Teba Günkol A.Ş. and then as a Team Leader at Yaşar Holding, and started to work as an Assistant Professor at Izmir University of Economics, Department of Logistics Management in 2008. Since 2009, he has also been appointed as the Head of the Department. He has been giving lectures in the Departments of Sustainable Energy and Logistics Management and is currently the Deputy Director of the Graduate Education Institute.
