The Working Group on The Impact Assessment and Technological Transition aims to comprehensively examine technological innovations' social, economic and environmental impacts in the energy sector. While emphasizing the critical role of technological transformation in the renewal of energy systems, the Working Group assesses in detail the feasibility, diffusion potential and impacts of innovative energy technologies. In particular, the environmental impact of sustainable energy technologies, their contribution to economic growth and their effects on social welfare are analyzed in depth.

While the Group addresses technological changes that contribute to achieving sustainability goals such as energy efficiency, increasing the use of renewable energy and reducing carbon emissions, it also evaluates the economic costs of these innovations, the level of social acceptance and their role in decision-making processes. By providing concrete recommendations to policymakers through environmental impact analyses and sustainability reporting, the Group addresses the positive and negative impacts of energy technologies on society and the environment from a holistic perspective and aims to develop strategic solutions for a sustainable energy future.

In addition, the Group carries out studies that contribute to green transformation-oriented technological transition processes to support sustainable production processes along with energy policies. In this context, the Group focuses on industrial symbiosis, circular economy and bioeconomy and develops solutions to increase resource efficiency, reduce waste and improve energy efficiency. Thus, it guides the green transformation processes of the energy sector and other industries by working to balance environmental sustainability and economic development.
