Integrated Sustainability: The Energy, Food and Water Working Group aims to develop holistic solutions from a sustainability perspective by addressing the interrelated and interdependent nature of energy, food and water resources. Recognizing that crises in the energy, food and water triangle pose a significant threat to sustainable development goals on a global scale, this group focuses on developing integrated strategies in these areas. Adopting a holistic approach to resource management, the group aims to contribute to constructing sustainable systems by analyzing the interactions between these three key areas.
While assessing the impacts of energy production and consumption on food security and water resources, the working group also examines the impacts of agricultural and water management practices on energy consumption and efficiency. In climate change and increasing resource scarcity, the sustainable management of energy, food, and water resources and the development of innovative solutions in these areas are central to the group's work. In this context, in collaboration with local and international stakeholders, the group focuses on policies and practices that will ensure food and water security while at the same time making energy systems sustainable.
