Leader of Research Area
The Working Group on Sustainable Energy Strategies and Climate Policies is committed to conducting comprehensive research to evaluate and reshape energy strategies in line with sustainability principles. This group emphasizes the critical role of energy policies in combating global climate change, focusing on crucial issues such as energy efficiency, the use of renewable energy sources and the transition to low-carbon economies. Developing policy recommendations on how energy strategies can be made more effective and sustainable at the local and national levels is a crucial priority of the group.
The group also assesses the impacts of climate policies at global, regional and national levels and analyzes the consequences of these policies on energy systems. The group develops strategic recommendations in the light of scientific data and forward-looking projections, considering the environmental, economic and social impacts of energy policies in Turkey and worldwide. We are committed to designing energy policies that will benefit future generations, and this is reflected in our close collaborations with the public and private sectors and academia. The group's work aims to contribute to the sustainability-oriented revision of current energy policies and the design of low-carbon, clean energy systems for future generations.
